In our holiday home and in the surrounding area you have numerous opportunities to make your free time an experience. Whether playing football or having a barbecue in the spacious garden, playing on the swings or in the sandpit with the little ones or swimming, fishing and boating on your own beach section, slowing down starts right at the house.

In the vast forests of the area you can also spot one or two moose while looking for mushrooms and berries. In and on one of the many streams and lakes and while hiking in the incredible landscape you can let your soul dangle and then end the evening by the campfire.

Raft trip on the Klarälven

In addition to an eventful raft trip, the Klarälven also offers beaches and sand islands that invite you to go ashore and spend an evening by the campfire. Day and multi-day tours, e.g. 3 days from Stöllet to Gunnerud approx. 50 km.

hike

Ostmark, Torsby

Culture and hiking trail in Östmark, Röjdåsen. Length 11.5 km. Start about 10 km north of Östmark on the way to Röjdåfors.

Gränsen, Torsby

A hike in the borderland between Sweden and Norway. Finnish immigrants settled here in the 17th and 18th centuries. The trail stretches from Morokulien in the south to Söre Osen in the north. It is 240 km long with options for food and accommodation.

Brattfallet

Easy to moderately difficult hike with great views over the Klarälvtal and the surrounding area.

Fämtfallet

Great trail, along a waterfall and through a small gorge. Halfway through the walk there is a small suspension bridge and at the end you can enter the water via a platform at the foot of the waterfall - simply wonderful!

Café Björkebo is right next door at Björkebo Camping and has fresh, home-baked cakes and rolls every day between June and September!

You can swim in the river and in many of the surrounding lakes. The water is very clean everywhere and is often of drinking water quality. There are also indoor swimming pools in the area.

eg directly at the house from the shore or by boat. A fishing license can be purchased cheaply on site. There are large perch, grayling and pike in the river.

welcome on the Sun Dance Ranch ; a typical western ranch with activities for the whole family! A little paradise for the whole family, just as if you were far away in America, but still very close!

golf

Very nice 9-hole course in a beautiful natural setting. The place is pleasantly quiet, you don't need to book appointments in advance and you rarely have to wait. The club's motto is to be "a club for everyone".

winter

Ski / Ekesberget

The small ski area, right on the spot, has 5 slopes, 2 lifts and a total height of 110 meters. Next to the slopes there is a (free) ice skating rink and a toboggan run.

Ski / Hovfjället

Sweden's southernmost mountains

Hovfjället has a lot of snow both on the slopes and in the terrain, even in winters with little snow. To be on the safe side, you still have a system of high-capacity snow cannons. 13 runs wind their way down the mountain. The easiest slopes and the ski school are right at the top of the mountain. There is also an area for children and a ski kindergarten as well as a warming room and a restaurant.

Hovfjällets summit also offers gorgeous views over the wintry Finnwald and the surrounding nature reserve. 60 km of cross-country trails offer a memorable nature experience.

Ski / Branäs

On the Branäsberg is one of Sweden's most modern ski facilities with 21 runs, a 415 meter drop and 2 km of uninterrupted skiing. There is also one of Sweden's two gondola lifts here, which also operates during the summer.

From the summit of the Branäsberg you choose your own path: from difficult, black and red marked runs to easy, blue marked and family-friendly slopes. Four tow lifts give you plenty of time to ski. The terrain of the Branäsberg is a challenge for snowboarders. Or you can try your hand at Telemark - the classic downhill style. Branäs is also open in the evening until 7 p.m. and with floodlights. There are also cross-country trails.
